Does the heater smell?
(Question is often asked hearing the word paraffin or because the consumer is only familiar with the old paraffin heater.)
After switching on the heater (max. 1 to 2 minutes) there will be some odour. This odour will disappear after initial period. After switching off the heater there is a little odour as well, which can be compared to blowing out a candle. When the heater burns, the Turbo system burns the rest gases, so apart from switching the heater on and off, there is no odour.

What about ventilation?
For every combustion-process oxygen is required. The heater uses oxygen from the room where it stands. With normal ventilation, the Zibro Kamin heater has sufficient air to breathe. If there is insufficient oxygen, the electronic safety device will switch off the heater automatically.

Is the heater safe?
Yes. Zibro Kamin heaters have been tested extensively for all kinds of quality and safety aspects. By Zibro Kamin itself, of course, but also by various officially recognised testing institutes such as the BSI. Zibro Kamin was the only heater to receive a Product Safety Award from the American Society of Insurers. This is your warranty that you are making a safe and reliable choice. The more so because all Zibro Kamin heaters have both the CE mark and an electronic protection system. The system will ensure that the heater will automatically switch off when you accidentally bump against it or in case of insufficient ventilation in the room.
